It is vital to sustain and grow the role of chaplains work in Greater Manchester.

I would ask for your continuing support (and prayers) and thank all the chaplains and officers of GMIM Council for their help in this vital work.

Annual report 2004/5 - Introduction

It is with the greatest pleasure that I write the introduction to the Annual Report of GMIM for 2004/2005.

In the time of my involvement with our organisation I have been impressed by the service our chaplains offer to a great variety of people and companies in the Greater Manchester area.

My involvement in the food industry for over 40 years has given an insight into present day to day needs of all people in the work place.

The pressure on all sides to develop quick fix solutions to a myriad of problems is non stop.

Chaplaincy can and does offer part of what we at GMIM believe is a real God ~ given alternative to all this hustle bustle and pressure.

Whether it be to people working in food factories, buses, airports, supermarkets, police stations or town halls Christ's message is being brought effectively to those who are in need and more importantly are not touched by the Church in other ways.
